This beautiful rustic fern necklace is truly one of a kind. Handmade from an impression of a real fern frond impressed into fine silver clay.  Lovely details were added and the pendant hangs from a sterling silver snake chain. The entire necklace was given a darkening patina, and then polished to a satin finish; leaving the patina in the recesses of the design allows it to really stand out.

Length is adjustable from 18 inches to 19 3/4 inches.

Fine silver pendant is 7/8 inch by 1 1/4 inches.

Sterling silver snake chain is accented by 2mm faceted peridot beads.

Fine silver clay consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver. After firing it has been tumbled to bring out the silver shine.  Lastly it has been dipped in an oxidizing agent and the piece has been polished by hand to bring out the beautiful details of the textures.
