A gorgeous fine silver and gold aster teardrop necklace.  The pattern is made from a mold from a real fall aster flower. The aster flower has been accented with 24K gold.  This lovely botanical necklace hangs gracefully from a sterling silver chain accented with 3mm sterling tube beads. The aster flower is the birth flower for the month of September.

Length is adjustable from 17 inches to 18 1/2 inches. 

Pendant is a teardrop shape is made from fine silver clay and is 1 1/4 inches by 5/8 inch and accented with 24K gold.

Fine silver clay consists of fine silver particles suspended in an organic binder.  After forming, drying and refining the piece is fired in a kiln.  During this time the binder burns off and the result is a piece that is .999 pure silver. After firing it has been tumbled to bring out the silver shine.  Lastly it has been dipped in an oxidizing agent and the piece has been polished by hand to bring out the beautiful details of the textures.
