Valentine’s Day! Posted on 31 Jan 15:34 , 0 comments

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Who wouldn’t like the swing of these cute, little hearts! I don’t normally do “holiday” jewelry but found these glass heart beads while going through some things I haven’t looked at in a while. Couldn’t resist making these. ❤️

Tools of the trade. Posted on 11 Feb 12:11 , 0 comments

Pursuesilver tools Just a few of the products and tools I use to create my fine silver jewelry.  I have to say I'm quite a sucker for new things to try.  There's nothing so exciting, as an artist, as finding a new technique or tool that makes things easier and better!

Come join me and fellow artist Rachel Austin on December 2, noon to 4.  It will be a nice, relaxing afternoon filled with beautiful art, jewelry and flowers. We all are gardeners at Elk Rock Gardens so, naturally, things will be botanical. Hope to see you there!

Spring has sprung in Oregon! Posted on 28 Feb 17:04 , 0 comments

It feels like spring here in Oregon even though we have a few more weeks of winter.  Bright and beautiful purple crocus and yellow daffodils are up and loving the longer days.

All of this activity sparks the creative juices here in the studio.  I've been working on some beautiful gold and silver pendants and earrings. Just what you or that special someone needs for a shimmering, fresh, sparkling look for spring and summer!

Yay, my first post! Posted on 16 Jul 10:50 , 0 comments

After having my head in my studio for nearly a decade perfecting my craft, I've finally set up my own on-line shop.  So, woohoo!, here I am!

I began working with fine silver for several reasons: because I found I could make jewelry that was more to my taste than what I could find, I don't have to use nasty chemicals in the production process, and I can manipulate the clay into wherever my imagination goes...

... Or wherever your imagination goes. I can help you create that special piece that is floating around in your head, a truly unique piece for you or that special someone.

I've never been one for writing so this is stepping out of the box for me.  Hopefully in another 10 years I'll be as comfortable blogging as I am working with silver.
